Summary:
CCC fellows, Arren M. Allegretti and David Nkedianye will discuss their research and personal experiences with collaborative conservation in their home countries. Specifically, Arren will discuss her experience on conducting her research on local perspectives on the acceptability of coastal resource management initiatives and regulations in Cebu, Philippines. David will share experiences from Kenya and on challenges of involving communities in conservation initiatives in a Kitengela, a Maasai village south of Nairobi, Kenya. Both Arren and David will share lessons learned and the challenges of collaborative conservation research as both researchers and stakeholders in their home countries.
